MagmaWave Web International features collaborators from around the world. Founded by Daniel McVicar in 2006, the company is based in Los Angeles and Turin.

Daniel McVICAR

A versatile actor with numerous film and television appearances to his credit, Daniel McVicar studied at the California Institute of the Arts and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Daniel’s interest in new media launched the McVlog, which has reached over one million hits and featured interviews with the likes of Arianna Huffington, Robert Scoble, and Craig Newmark (of Craigslist fame). Lulu.tv voted Daniel their Vlogger of the Year in 2006, the same year he hosted the first-ever Vloggie Awards. Daniel also created The Late Nite Mash, an experimental online community featuring original video content and boasting appearances by Andy Garcia, John Malkovich, and Plas Johnson.


After his gradution at Liceo Classico L. Ariosto in Ferrara he specializes in computer-graphics studying at the Upgrade ATC School in Milan. He starts his career in the world of television, working for GRP Televisione in Turin as broadcast engineer, director, cameraman and editor, for AltaitaliaTV in Novara as techical director.He has also been involved in a number of other projects with various local and national broadcasters.

Since 2006, Andrea has also worked in web design and web marketing management, first as a freelancer, then at Newsfood.com and YouFOCUS.TV, the leading online journal.

He has been Head of Video at MagmaWave since 2011.


Ricky began his career at age 14, gaining experience in merchandising and clothing design for Juventus, FIGC, AC Milan events and sporting events. A cum laude graduate of Cinema and Media Engineering, he spent three years working with renowned performance artist Arturo Brachetti as a photographer, videographer, webmaster and production assistant.

In the world of cinema he’s served as a producer, production designer and editor for numerous short films. He has directed backstage films for Fausto Brizzi’s “Maschi Contro Femmine” and “Femmine Contro Maschi” as well as “Dark Resurrection Vol. 0″ by Angelo Licata.

Ricky joined MagmaWave as Head of the Web department in 2010.


Graduated with honors in Cinema and Media Engineering, Stefano started to take up cinema production at the age of 18, crafting his first short film in 2003. Since then he was involved in various projects as screenwriter, director and producer. His last film, “Les Amants d’un Jour”, was accepted in many national and international festivals.

In 2006 he takes up his parallel career as freelance photographer specializing in actors, artists and people portraits. Two years later he concludes his studies and starts to work on web-designing and content creation for websites. In 2011 he makes his directorial debut in theatre with Harold Pinter’s “The Dumb Waiter”.

He is a member of Magmawave since 2010.


In 2006, Spencer joined the McVlog as a writer, videographer, and editor. A graduate of San Francisco State University, he has written scripts for film, theater, and television, with additional experience in copywriting and social media marketing.
